Jacob Rinker, MD, FACS

General Surgery & Vascular Surgery located in Gillette, WY & Casper, WY

Jacob Rinker, MD, FACS, was born and raised in the Gillette area, was actually born in Campbell County Hospital. Jacob Rinker, MD, FACS, is board certified by the American Board of Surgery in General Surgery.

He did an internship and residency in Des Moines, IA in General Surgery.  He currently sees patients at Wyoming Medical Associates in Gillette and Casper, Wyoming. Dr. Rinker earned his Bachelor of Science in Cell Biology and Neuroscience at Montana State University in Bozeman. He then received his medical degree from the University of Washington School of Medicine in Seattle before completing a General Surgery internship at Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines.

Dedicated to staying abreast of the latest advancements in his field, Dr. Rinker is a member of the American College of Surgeons, American Vein Lymphatic Society (AVLS), and Wyoming Medical Society. He is also an instructor in Advanced Trauma and Life Support (ATLS). He has given several presentations on his research throughout his career.

He is also certified in Advanced Trauma Life Support and Advanced Cardiac Life Support. In addition to serving patients at Wyoming Medical Associates, Dr. Rinker is currently the vice chair for the State Committee for Trauma. He is also a general surgeon at Campbell County Memorial Hospital in Gillette, Wyoming.
Wyoming Medical Associates approaches patient care as a team, bringing hometown comfort as medical providers in their community. Dr. Rinker provides a wide range of treatments for breast disease, peripheral arterial disease, varicose veins, and acid reflux. He is also experienced in performing procedures such as hernia surgery, gallbladder surgery, and thyroid surgery.
